Flex 1, 2, or 3: Depending on your weight and/or riding style, you choose how stiff or flexible you want your board. The softer flex will allow you to make tighter turns, give you more control at lower speeds, soften/cushion your ride, and it will make it easier to slide. The stiffer flex has more energy return, makes some tricks and freeriding easier, and is more stable at high speeds.
